JPLF Speech at the Pittsburgh Pro-Life March

Shalom and Hello Fellow God Fearing Life Loving Friends. My name is Cecily Routman. I am the founder and president of the JPLF.

If we listen closely we can hear the death screams of millions of aborted babies because our souls are connected to their souls.

We have a moral obligation to be their voice, to witness their collective demise, and to appeal for public support to stop this genocide.

That’s why we are here today.

I remind you of a time in Europe when legal mass slaughter was national policy that led to the murder of over 6 million innocent souls whose only crime was that they existed. They were legally killed for profit, in horrific medical experiments and to get rid of human weeds, as Margaret Sanger said of Jews, people of color, homosexuals, and the disabled. 

We have an even worse horror in our day and age. Since 1973, over 70 million unborn children have been legally destroyed in the US. In 2025, in this Commonwealth, nearly 33,000.

In the university in whose shadow we gather, helpless babies who are sourced from the abortion clinic downtown and from Magee Hospital are used in horrific research experiments funded by taxpayers.

This all started with some confused idea that killing an unborn baby was compassionate and necessary and justifiable in law. 

No reason exists to torture a baby to death in the womb. Not one reason!

Millions of suffering parents who bought into the lie of abortion testify to the harm, grief, and long term negative effects. 

Our Pennsylvania politicians are about to allow an amendment to enshrine abortion homicide with no limits into our Commonwealth’s constitution.

In Europe, good people turned a blind eye to mass slaughter done in barbed wire encircled death camps built outside city limits. Anyone who dared publicly acknowledge the carnage of mans inhumanity to man was imprisoned or shot.

In Pittsburgh and in this Commonwealth, good people disregard the mass slaughter of our unborn babies because they don’t see their blood spilled behind clinic walls and private bathrooms.

Those who oppose this horror risk rejection by our family, our peer group, and our religious group or face unemployment or censorship on social media. We may even be shot, as was our friend, Charlie Kirk.

I can tell you from my own experience, the peace of mind and personal satisfaction that come from pro-life activism is worth the risk!

We urge you to get involved. To Life! L’Chaim! To Life!
