Since modern medical/biological science has clearly demonstrated that the process of human life begins when sperm meets egg, the commandment to choose life begins with even the very small baby’s life.

The baby-killers and their apologists seem to have missed this Rambam, which explicitly refers to an unborn child as a nefesh. Have we suddenly discovered a previously unknown dispute between Rashi and the Rambam? Of course not. The Torah's consistent position is that a fetus is alive and precious.

From a strictly non-religious, pragmatic perspective, is it worth the cost for the Israeli military to be eliminating well over a thousand pre-born Jewish babies a year? If the premier role of any military is to protect innocent life, what argument could there possibly be to finance, enable or merely permit abortion...

As a Jew I am shocked to see how many supposed Jews support an imagined 'RIGHT' to abort pre-born babies.

No informed rabbi would authorize a torturous death of an innocent, pain capable infant when the baby can be easily saved. No informed rabbi would allow a fully formed infant to be born alive and dissected while still breathing. No informed rabbi would put a woman in danger when a safe alternative is available.

But to state that Halacha is “pro-choice” regarding abortion is the equivalent of claiming that Halacha is “pro-theft” or “pro-lying” concerning the Torah’s prohibition to steal and its requirement to be honest. There are legitimate exceptions to the rule; they are not the rule.

Tanach sees that the baby is a person from conception on. We do not find even one account of an abortion in the Tanakh; barren women, indeed, prayed to have babies, and this was celebrated.

Nationally sanctioned genocide of unborn children alarmingly resembles state sanctioned genocide of Jews. Both populations are dehumanized through effective propaganda that characterizes them as parasites and threats to others. Both are stripped of equal protections under the law, and tortured and killed without legal consequences. Immense wealth transfer occurs from the mass extermination of both populations.

The rarity of life threatening pregnancies and the abundant help available to women and families today reflects an entirely different reality. From what was suggested from the podium on Tuesday, more Jewish lives are at risk from abortion used as birth control than from Roe being overturned.

We remind our readers, once again, that Judaism in no way sanctions child murder, and that Saving a life is the paramount value of Judaism.
