Bloodshed from legal abortion in Israel will continue despite peace deal

On Yom Kippur, our Day of Atonement, God draws near to us to receive our sincere regrets for abortion support and practice. He bestows His forgiveness as we promise to Choose Life this year.

Permissive views of abortion in Judaism for maternal mental illness deny life to our most vulnerable family members based on primitive stories about mental health challenges. These views disregard a mother’s mental anguish after her child’s demise and offer no healing opportunity afterward. They ignore supportive and therapeutic interventions that alleviate a mother’s mental problems and safeguard her baby’s life.

Reducing a baby in the womb to ‘mere water’ originally offered relief from guilt for miscarriage, an event outside the control of loving parents. Now, denying an unborn baby's existence gives relief from guilt to those who willfully destroy innocent life in the womb.

When dismemberment abortion is done to treat a mother’s medical condition that becomes acute later in pregnancy, it actually poses an increased risk to the mother’s life. The preferred treatment is early delivery by c-section to minimize the danger to the mother and maximize the baby’s chances of survival.

A moral people's fear of Heaven dwarfs fear of the enemy and guarantees victory in battle. Mercy from Heaven remains consistent, unlike the vagaries of public opinion.

Serious minded, concerned Jews who speak out in favor of internal reforms that return Judaism to its authentic, life affirming theology pose a threat to establishment leadership who endorse the same wickedness that got us into trouble in our Torah portion.

Invasion, military losses, and public health crises in the modern era can be attributed to the same cause as the same problems in biblical times. So, too, the solution. Peace, health and prosperity come only after stopping child sacrifice and sincerely repenting for it.

“If you diligently heed the voice of God, your God, and do what is upright in His eyes, carefully listening to His commandments and observing all His rules, I will bring none of the illnesses that I brought upon Egypt upon you, for I am God who heals you.”
